I was born and raised in Haldimand County. My dad, Slim Norsworthy, was a founding member of most of the horse-related clubs in the area including Dry Lake, Dunnville, and Big Creek Saddle Clubs as well as the Ontario Chariot Racing Association and many others.
I started sewing at age 8 when my dolly needed a dress and Mom was busy in the barn. I traced Dolly on some newspaper, hacked up some fabric (sorry Mom) and whipped it up - with a zipper. I have made doll clothes, Barbie clothes, baby clothes, Renaissance costumes, pyjama pants - the list is endless - check out the Photo Gallery for some examples.
After hearing how hard it was to find the new "rail shirts" in Canada, I hit the fabric stores, picked up some samples and hit some horse shows. All items are made from YOUR fabric selection to YOUR measurements.
I expanded the line with a request for large neck scarves, designed a saddlepad bag to Shawna's specifications, made some PJ pants out of some cute horsey fabric, and am open to new ideas. I will give any request consideration.
I am expanding to include skate and dance costumes, biker "do rags" & custom fitted miniature horse blankets, hoods & leg wraps.
In the near future, I hope to add an embroidery machine and a heavier sewing machine for doing chaps and blankets.
I designed and built my sewing table to be just the right height for me to cut out fabrics.
